Marije Baalman will be in residence at Sussex University as part of the MIMIC project.
MIMIC is a research project for the artistic exploration of musical machine learning and machine listening. Marije was invited to work with the researchers on how the tools developed in the project can be used in an artistic context, in particular when used in a livecoding context. During the residency she intends to further work on the gestural coding language (GeCoLa) she developed during the Choreographic Coding Lab in May 2019.
