Jonathan Reus was awarded a teaching prize at Leuphana University of Lüneburg for his proposed course in the “Digital Media” department entitled “Algorithmic Ontohacking: Computational Time, Movement and the Body”.
This inter- or transdisciplinary teaching concept, developed in collaboration with the EU-funded Metabody project, is particularly innovative in the synthesis of three (research) dimensions and active interaction with contemporary cultural practice. Music, body, philosophy and computer technology are brought together in a whole new way. In this way very different knowledge and experience levels are integrated and new knowledge is generated. The concept is theoretically elaborated and contains a wealth of experience potential for the participating students.
This class is taught in collaboration with Yvonne Foerster and Jaime del Val.
