In a one-hour livestream program together with the other two selected artists for “Future Traditions of Music“. Jonathan Reus will talk about his project “Celestial Fruit on Earthly Ground” – previously titled ‘Electric Folkways’. Jon will be presenting a short video piece during the livestream, followed by a live Q&A and later a break-out discussion on themes of heritage making, the cultural information written into musical instruments, and the transmission of traditional knowledge by digital/networked means. He will also have the premier of a first iteration of a web-based artwork he is making that deals with these topics.
