Project details:

ħożż il-ħsejjes takes inspiration from the intrinsic relationship between the late Gabriel Caruana’s artistic practice with clay as his favoured medium and the use of The Mill – Art, Culture and Crafts Centre, Birkirkara.

The Team, composed of Raffaella Zammit, Elyse Tonna, Wen Chin Fu, Marvin Zammit and Andrea Pullicino, will engage participants of all ages with a particular focus on children and youths. ħożż il-ħsejjes is a tactile, aural, and visual experience that invites visitors to become participants by creating a collective and ever-changing musical and visual composition.

The project consists of workshops at The Mill (August and September) where participants will be making instruments and music out of clay and hay! In November an exhibition will be held at Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta, with a unique interactive installation of the musical instruments developed at The Mill. Also in November performance workshops will be held during ŻiguŻajg Festival!
