Philip Vermeulen will be showing his installation More Moiré at W139.
About More Moiré:
In a panoramic Ganzfeld room without horizons or any anchorpoint, Philip has created an immersive filmic experience where he once again puts the visitor’s senses to the test. Inspired by the work of light artists such as James Turrell and Doug Wheeler, Philip plays with human perception. In a virtual abstract landcape made of light, sound and the moving moiré patterns, he lets the world emerge and crumble. Philip investigates the tension between physicality of the material and the weightless digitality of its patterns. More Moire forces a reset of the senses and fuels awareness of one’s own material existence.
