~.Soinusain.~ at Eufònic Festival, Deltebre (ES)
Yolanda Uriz
About the work:
We step into a weird foor, crunchy and a bit slippery at the same time, it feels like another planet. We see three hanging hexagons and when we introduce our torso in one of them, sounds activate while a particular smell surrounds us.
As we are mostly deprived of our sight, sensations arising from the other senses get more intense. Each hexagon transports us to a different land…
About the festival:
Eufònic is the festival around the sound, visual and digital-performative arts that is held in Terres de l’Ebre, 200 km south of Barcelona, with Sant Carles de la Ràpita as the main town and that expands itself with artistic installations to various villages of Ebre river lands such Amposta and Tortosa villages among others. Eufònic Pro will be held in Tortosa, as part of the celebration of the Capital of Catalan Culture 2021, and it will have presentations, panels and speed meetings. Combining free access activities with admission events, Eufònic are exceptional arts in its broadest sense: audiovisual performances, workshops, installations in museums, sound actions, professional activities, kid-friendly proposals and concerts in unique spaces. The uniqueness of the landscape of the Terres de l’Ebre area in general and the Ebre river Delta in particular is the vertebral and differential element of the festival, making Eufònic a sound and visual experience anchored in the landscape.
