Philip Vermeulen collaborated with Mischa Daams to present the kinetic audio-visual installation SLue at Into The Great Wide Open festival on Vlieland. SLue was featured on Bright.nl as a favourite of the festival.
“SLue is the inflated sister of Vermeulen’s 10 Meters of Sound, where he went in search of the sound qualities of the elastic. With multiple lines between trees and underneath light boxes with different colors, a 15-minute concert was created…SLue is elusive and beautiful, but sometimes frightening and scary because of the setting and the sound. It is a thin line between fascination and the fear that the rope will snap.”
